Hi. Welcome to the home of Toews on the Waves, a weekly radio show featuring some of the greatest oldies, novelty music, and then some, that history has to offer. It is hosted by Bruce Toews in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Coming Up on the Program on April 24, 2010
There are a few people you just don't dare. One of these is our own Jonathan Mosen. Secure in the knowledge that he'd never do it, I publically stated that if Jonathan played a Mrs. Miller song all the way through, I would do an all-country edition of Toews on the Waves. For the record, the Mrs. Miller song Jonathan ended up playing was "A Groovy Kind of Love". And so, because I am a man of honor, and because I admire Jonathan's going against his musical tastes and playing the song, on April 24th Toews on the Waves will be presenting its first (and last) all country music show. We'll have lots of different aspects of country music, from the old to the new; crossover country songs that fared well on the pop charts; country songs from other countries; serious country, funny country. We'll have it all this week on Toews on the Waves. If you're a serious country fan, I hope you enjoy this eclectic country mix. And if, like me, you're not a country fan, then I hope you still enjoy the variety that you'll here, and maybe we'll collectively come to a greater appreciation of this musical form. So catch the Toews on the Waves country show, make a request, grab some grits, and enjoy.
