Welcome to the home page of the Mosen Explosion Radio Show, heard right here on The Legend every Sunday between 5 and 9 Eastern US time.
About the Show
Presented from Wellington New Zealand from studios at Mosen Towers, the Mosen Explosion is four hours of radio that’s full of fun, spontaneity, listener interaction and the best music ever made.
Special features include:
- The Banana Report, where the Mosen kids get let loose on the air to say who knows what,
- What the minx Thinks with Julia Mosen,
- And regular visits to the world of the bizarre with our Wacky News bulletins sprinkled throughout the show.
But mostly, we spend our time playing great music from the 50s through to the 80s. Much of what we play is driven by you, and that’s the way we like it.

The Mosen Explosion crew will be pumping out four hours of great music, your requests and general wackiness this weekend.
There are some particularly wacky wacky news stories this week, the bananas report on early birthday celebrations, and of course we hear what the minx thinks.
Now that The Legend is made it to the fame and fortune that is iTunes, I have noticed with interest that radio stations don't ever seem to make it to the front page of the iTunes Store. On this week's show we will launch with style our campaign to get The Legend the proud place it deserves.
Some interesting events occurred this day in musical history, we'll give you a summary plus play some music relevant to the events.
And of course, there is plenty of room for requests from you. yes, I'm talking to you! Snuggle up! It's Valentine's Day on the Mosen Explosion and this week we have four hours of the world's greatest love songs.
Some might say that Valentines Day is a clever creation of the marketing types to make you buy flowers and other gifts. That's probably true. Every day's a good day to do something romantic and unexpected to put an even brighter light in the light of your life. Others take on a cynical approach to love. Yet without love, the world has no soul. So, marketing hype or not, we're going to celebrate love, humanity's greatest attribute. Because let's face it, there are so many beautiful love songs out there that four hours will just fly by when we start playing them. And if you're blessed enough to have the love of your life with you, why not settle back with a bottle of bubbles and enjoy some great music.

Join the Minx, the bananas and me as we welcome 2010 on The Legend with a Mosen Explosion new year bash. Just as you thought old acquaintance had been forgot and never brought to mind, we're back for our new year special.
New Zealand sees 2010 a lot earlier than most of you, so join us as we play some great party music, open a few bottles of mineral water, and talk to people around the world. At midnight new Zealand time, we will be seeing the old year out, and counting the new year in. You too can be part of the fun by calling in live via Skype, just add MosenExplosion to your Skype contact list.
The fun begins at 9 PM New Zealand time on new year's eve. Now that's 3 AM on new year's eve eastern time, midnight Pacific, 8 AM in the UK. We guarantee it'll be worth being awake for.
